dc.description.abstractAn experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Research Center, Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Jessore during December 2007 to April 2009 to examine the effect of pruning on vegetative and reproductive bud break and the effects of GA3 on seedless grape production. Pruning of vine found to influence both vegetative and reproductive bud break, anthesis of flower and harvesting of berries significantly. Vine pruning in January gave earlier harvest as compared to October and December. Flowers sprayed with 100 ppm GA3 attributed cent percent seedless berries. Taste of berries was sweet and sour when treated with 100 ppm GA3 while berries harvested from controlled vines were sour. Berries obtained from GA3 treated flower weighed higher than that of untreated flower. Total Soluble Solid (TSS) was significantly higher in berries obtained from 100 ppm GA3 treated flower as compared to those of untreated flowers.
